First-ever Website Up
Hello, friends! I’m thrilled to have my first-ever website up. Many thanks to the multi-talented Mollie Smith and Mara Lubell of Works-Progress Designs for launching me into cyberspace!
Here you’ll find information about me and my debut series coming soon from St. Martin’s Press, THE IMPOSSIBLE BACHELORS. Four Regency hunks who don’t want to get legshackled wind up—you guessed it!—in the arms of women they didn’t know they couldn’t live without until it was too late to run.
And the Prince Regent is the one who starts them falling like dominoes with his outrageous wager in When Harry Met Molly.
Harry, Nicholas, Stephen, and Charlie…I love each one of these guys. Harry is the misunderstood second son from a long, proud family. Nicholas leads a secret life while carrying the burden of an unwanted dukedom on his shoulders. Stephen is a naval officer who’s ready to take command of his own destiny. Charlie is rich as Croesus and tired of being pursued by empty-headed debutantes for his wealth alone.
I also love my heroines. They make mistakes but they’re feisty. And they don’t ever give up on pursuing what they want. Molly can’t believe she’s found herself wearing a gown with tiny naked people featured on the bodice trim. Poppy is in shock that the pretend suitor she’s made up to fob off other suitors is real. Jilly is hiding a secret she doesn’t want anyone to find out. And my as-yet-unnamed fourth young lady—well, I need a name for her before I reveal any more about her. I’d love some input from you about that! I kind of have a thing for girls’ names that end with the long E sound. Did you notice? (grin) But I’m running out of ideas. So, I need a name that ends in the long E sound (it doesn’t have to end in Y but it can) for Charlie’s soul mate. Please submit your ideas to the Discussions tab on my Facebook page (you don’t have to be a Facebook member to visit!). Whoever is the first to give me the winning name will have his or her name mentioned on the acknowledgments page of Charlie’s book.
Meanwhile, I’ve finished Book 2 with Nicholas and Poppy, Dukes to the Left of Me, Princes to the Right, and am hard at work on the third book, Cloudy With a Chance of Marriage, which features Stephen and Jilly.
Thanks for stopping by, and I’d like to leave you until next time with this thought: Laughter truly is the best medicine. It’s why I started writing. I was living a busy, fulfilling but stressful life—and I noticed that on the days I laughed, I handled my life with much more grace and enjoyment than I ever realized I could.
So I wish for all of you at least one good belly laugh a day. Make it happen, whether you find it in one of my books, on television or the internet, with a stranger in line behind you at the grocery store, or with your pets, friends, and/or family.
Here’s to smiles, chuckles, guffaws, and giggles.
Take care, and I’ll be back here soon.
Warmly,
Kieran :>)
